Because I know there’s a corporate mama struggling to hold back tears as she didn’t get the quarantine “break” and she is still the first to drop her kiddos off at daycare and the last to pick them up and she is ROLLING HER EYES AT ME RIGHT NOW

I KNOW, because I used to be THAT MOM.
⠀
But before I found MY business, I THOUGHT my dream was to be a full time mama doting on their every need 24/7 until it happened and I found myself resenting my decision.

I LOVE my KIDDOS & was happy to toss aside the CPA license and be by their side for every milestone in the infant & toddler years…but SOMETHING was MISSING…something I was afraid to admit.

It happened on accident really, but 7 years ago,

Less than O N E year into my new role as a full time mama, I found “IT”

And we called plot twist!

I discovered a new “dream” to be a PRESENT mom with FREEDOM to mom on my terms while still having something to call my own!

When I decided to start my own business I HID it from others, playing it off in public like it was just a little side gig, but behind closed doors HUSTLING like none other.
⠀
Hustling for the goals, the recognition, the purpose and the feeling – knowing – I was making an impact in the lives of others and making an INCOME for my family because of it.

I’m no longer apologizing.
⠀
I like to work.
I like to feel accomplished.
⠀
I like knowing I can do the things I want to do without “asking” my husband if it’s okay.
⠀
And I love volunteering at the kids school, even if all I can get right now is wiping down cafeteria tables😆😆😆

To my fellow Miss Independent mamas please know it’s okay-to WANT BOTH!!!

It’s okay to work full time outside the home and LOVE IT!!

It’s okay to LOVE being a full time mama!!!

It’s okay to find a happy medium as long as it brings you JOY

Life is too short to live it mediocre.
