Chocolate covered Strawberry Shakeology

I mean…who doesn’t want chocolate covered strawberries for breakfast?!?!

The one thing I’m missing/was missing from, what had become, my daily breakfast a few months ago was my LOVE CRUCH Peanut Butter & Chocolate granola on top of my shakeo bowl each morning!! It gave the perfect little crunch and truly felt like such an indulgence!!

However it doesn’t EXACTLY fit into my Shift Shop test group meal plan so I decided to improvise and this chopped topping was just what I needed!

Chocolate covered strawberry shakeo

WHAT YOU NEED:

1/2 cup coconut water
6oz water
1 scoop vegan chocolate shakeo
1 cup spinach
1 cup chopped berries, divided (1/2 blended and 1/2 on top)
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Ice

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO: Blend, top with remaining strawberries & ENJOY!

Vegan Chocolate PB Cheesecake Shakeo -Its all about the Consistency

I get the question almost DAILY about my shakeology – why its so thick – how I mix it – how its blended and why it always looks so darn GOOD…here’s the details:

I start by gathering:

  • 1 Scoop Vegan Chocolate Shakeo
  • 1/2 Cup water
  • 1/2 Cup Unsweetened Almond Milk
  • 1 Cup Spinach
  • 1 tsp Caramel Extract (Or Vanilla extract, Coconut Extract, etc…)
  • 1 TBS PB2
  • Dash of cinnamon
  • And here’s the kicker…
    • 1 tsp Fat Free Sugar Free Cheesecake Pudding mix (I know its not clean!!! But that small teaspoon goes a long way. Just trust me on this one)

I combine everything in my blender with about 10-12 ice cubes. Basically JUST ENOUGH that allows my blender to blend it without getting stuck.

I switch the dial to “frozen desserts” – turn it on and let it do its magic!!!

(My old blender didn’t have this feature so I just did the “crush ice” feature for about 10 seconds then I would blend on high until it sounded like all the ice was gone). 

Sometimes I have to take it and shake it a bit but that’s how I get the ice cream consistency!

Because sometimes you just need a little CRUNCH!

Getting in my daily dose of dense superfood nutrition with my daily vitamin mixed with some probitoics and digestive enzypmes…oh and some Peanut Butter Granola
While I don’t get so fancy with the mix ins on a daily basis Aubrey’s oreos from her treat bag were calling my name and this hit the spot for sure!
 My little guy couldn’t get enough and the consistency was perfect!!!
WHAT YOU NEED: 
 
6oz unsweetned almond milk
4oz water
1 Scoop Chocolate Shakeology
1 Cup spinach
1 TBS PB2
1 TBS Vanilla Fat Free Sugar Free pudding mix (I know I know, so not clean, but that’s okay!!!)
1 tsp caramel extract
12-15 ice cubs
1/4 cup of the KIND Peanut Butter Whole Gran Clusters granola
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:
 
Blend all the ingredients (excluding the granola) until smooth. You may have to stop and shake up a bit if it gets too thick but it will eventually blend! Pour into a bowl, top with granola, and indulge in what tastes like a monstorous DQ Blizzard when in reality you just had what is likely the healthiest meal of your day!

No joke – I have NEVER drank a shake so fast…and I’ve think I’ve had a lot of fabulous concoctions!!!  I got a cold headache twice and was a tiny bit sad when it was gone but my goodness it was delish!!!!

As is above – this would be:

1 RED, 1 GREEN, 1/2 PURPLE and 2 tsps for all my 21-day fix followers!!!

But I have played around with this and will say although the banana makes for a more smooth texture, the taste is fine without it!!! So after the first day I have been leaving out the banana. You can also use PB2 rather than the all natural PB if you prefer which will cut down on the calories/fat.

On the flip side I made this for my hubs with unsweetened almond milk (1 Yellow) and a full banana (2 purples) and it was literally like a Dairy Queen Blizzard!!! The pure almond extract is definitely what makes it!!!

Ok – HOLD THE PHONE!

Yes, I LOVE SHAKEOLOGY – that’s no secret! I am still amazed that someone found a way to pack the nutritional value of 6 salads into a glass. To include digestive enzymes, probiotics, protein, antioxidants and nearly every vitamin and mineral your body needs in a convenient meal replacement shake that – GET THIS – tastes AhMAZING! It’s like magic!

But this stuff isn’t just limited to a meal replacement shake – it makes some incredible desserts!!!! And one of my all time favorites is Shakeology Pudding:

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • ¾ cups plain Green Yogurt
  • ¼ – ½ scoop Chocolate (Vegan or Regular) Shakeology
  • 1-2 TBS PB2 or All natural Peanut Butter

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:

Combine the 3 ingredients into a bowl and stir until blended. If you want to get real crazy you can even toss in a few chocolate chips – but I think its good just the way it is!

This is a sure fire way to satisfy any sweet tooth craving!!! I usually opt for the lower calorie option and do 1 TBS of PB2 whereas my hubby opts for the 2 TBS of all natural PB – but it’s totally up to you! Either way it’s a delicious, high protein, 21-day fix approved (1 ¼ – 1 ½ reds plus a few of your tsps depending on how much PB or PB2 you use!!!)
