If you didn’t know me 3+ years ago I bet you’d never guess I was an accountant. I was beyond organized, never late, and had my ROUTINE in stone.
You may be surprised to hear that I still have my CPA license yet I never intend on needing it again. Here’s the thing…
27 year old Audit Manager vs. 28 year old Coach
Some would argue that I had a very successful career. And well to some…I did! I was hired into a Big 4 Accounting firm, was promoted to Manager “right on schedule” and performed well throughout my 6 years in Auditing. Without a doubt the best part was that I was able to give my family things I only dreamed of as a child.
However once I become a MOM I quickly learned that SUCCESS isn’t measured by money or power or social rank. SUCCESS is measured by your self satisfaction and inner peace and in my mind – how many smooches I could snag from my munchkins in a day. And well, that whole second half was missing!
Overworked and missing out on so much of my child’s life, I left the career that I had worked towards to be home with my kiddos that I LIVED for.
Needless to say, I was not exactly living life by design. When we made that decision that I would leave my career, our income took a HUGE hit. The sacrifices were worth it but it was HARD. We took things day by day and while I was living out my “dream come true” as a SAHM…I wanted something more. For myself and for my family.
Again it was time for a change.
Looking back I had no idea what I was getting into. I never meant to create a BUSINESS. I never thought I would be able to REPLACE my prior Audit Manager salary within the first year and follow that up by nearly doubling it by my 17th month mark but it happened. It happened through consistency, dedication and a DREAM BIG mentality…all the while working the early morning hours before my kids woke up and late at night after they went to bed. I didn’t realize it at the time but I was becoming a MOMBoss…and I kind of liked it!
The leap of faith I took to become a Beachbody coach has transpired into more than I could ever dream of.
That decision to pay it forward and share my journey to inspire others was easily one of the best decisions I had ever made.
Not only have I been able to impact the health and fitness of myself, my husband, my family and some of my closest friends but I have also been able to impact hundreds of people all over the US and Canada!
I have been able to grow a TEAM – a TEAM of other dedicated women – a tribe – of GIRLBosses & MOMBosses who have similar goals, desires, and drive to do this too! The intrinsic feeling knowing I am able to impact others lives so deeply is so incredibly rewarding and I would like to invite you to do the same!
