Ok – so some of my close friends may remember the devastation I had when I had visited the Grove City Outlets a little over 3 years ago and saw a chocolate covered pretzel “blizzard of the month” at Dairy Queen and decided I’d get it when we got home – only to later find out that Grove City was one of 10 test locations in the US  that had it and it was not available anywhere else. As a 8 month pregnant mama to be and avid ice cream lover – I was seriously DEVASTATED. I talked about it for weeks!!! Looking back, I’m totally blaming that one on the hormones 🙂

Well…fast forward 3 years and now shakeology has replaced my weekly blizzard (most weeks!) I have started getting a little creative and it hit me – I had done a chocolate covered pretzel shakeo – why not add some PB and Caramel!

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 1 Scoop Chocolate Shakeology

  • 1/2 Cup almond milk

  • 6 oz water

  • 1 TBS PB2 or All natural PB

  • 8 small pretzel rods/sticks

  • 1/2 tsp caramel extract

  • lots of ice

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO: 

Mix all ingredients together in your blender – Crush ice and/or Blend (I always “crush ice” first for about 10 seconds, then blend for about 30 seconds to get it really smooth) and pour into a nice big cup and eat it with a spoon! Just as good – if not better than – a blizzard and something that is actually good for you! Warning – this shakeo may become addicting 🙂

It seriously does taste like ice cream…the trick is all in the blending!!! And it is packed in right around 300 calories!!! Now that’s a healthy treat!!! Let me know if you give it a try!

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 1 scoop chocolate SHAKEOLOGY
  • 1/4 cup oats
  • 2 TBS PB2
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 6oz water
  • Ice

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:

ADD ALL INGREDIENTS TOGETHER – CRUSH ICE – BLEND – ENJOY!!!

Meet: Chocolate Cinnamon Oatmeal Cookie Shakeology

  • 4 oz almond milk

  • 6 oz water

  • One scoop chocolate Shakeology

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • 1/4 cup oatmeal

  • Ice to your liking – and BLEND!

Ok – so I’ve never been a coffee drinker but there’s something about that salted caramel mocha from Starbucks that comes to mind  EVERY TIME I see that little Starbucks icon! I guess the sweet and salty combo but from someone who “hates coffee” I could drink one of those bad boys daily!! However…I know that just wouldn’t be good for anyone involved – too much sugar and too much JUNK!!! So, well, I don’t 🙂

When I saw this sea salt caramel shakeology on Melanie’s blog it inspired me to make my own little blended concoction! I also think this would be fabulous with adding in a little coffee in place of the water but for now – I kept it simple:

Sea Salt Shakeo

  • 1 scoop chocolate shakeology

  • 1/2 tsp of caramel extract

  • A few shakes of pink himalyan salt

  • 4 oz almond milk

  • 6 oz water

  • LOTS of ice

If you need something to curb that chocolate fix without throwing you off the deep end look no further! 

Shakeology Nutty No-Bake Cookies

(Makes 30-32 servings, 1 Cookie each)
Total Time: 10 min
Prep Time: 10 min
Cooking time: NONE!!!

1 cup Chocolate Shakeology

1 cup all natural almond butter

1 tsp almond extract

1 cup quick-cooking rolled oats

1/2 cup honey

Shakeology Nutty No-Bake Cookie Balls

Combine almond butter, almond extract oats, honey and Shakeology in a medium bowl; mix well with a rubber spatula or clean hands. Roll mixture into 1-inch size balls (I found the pampered chef small cookie scoop to be a HUGE time saver here). Flatten each ball slightly so that it is shaped like a traditional cookie. 

Optional: Roll cookie in crushed nuts, whole-grain graham cracker crumbs, or unsweetened coconut flakes

I was excited to try some new Greenberry shakeo recipes when my sister was visiting this past weekend!

They look the same but are a bit different:

Pineapple Delight   

1 scoop Greenberry Shakeology

1/2 cup pineapple

10 oz ice

6 oz almond milk

4 oz water

1/4 frozen banana (optional)

1/2 cup green yogurt (optional)

Personally, I love the consistency added with a frozen banana…but that’s also more sugar and more calories – so try it both ways and see which one you like better! If you’re not watching those calories too closely the additional green yogurt can really add a nice touch with some additional protein too! 
 
Watermelon Refresher

1 scoop Greenberry Shakeology

1 cup watermelon

10 oz ice

6 oz almond milk

1/2 cup green yogurt (optional)

The watermelon really adds some liquid to the drink so be sure to watch how much milk you add…and you can always add more ice if you want it to be thicker!
 
I listed the green yogurt as optional because it can really add in some extra calories if you’re trying to be careful but it also adds in some additional protein – so it just depends on what your goals are!

Shakeology Ice Cream

When it came time to plan my daughter’s birthday cake and ice cream I knew I couldn’t mess with Memaw’s chocolate chip cookie recipe that I had planned for her cookie cake…but I quickly realized I could however make my own “ice cream”. And that’s just what we did. Shakeology Ice Cream that is. My kids were happy to be eating their big bowls of “ice cream” and I could indulge right there along with them…a small piece of cookie cake and some shakeo ice cream to fill my tummy and keep my hands out of the cookie jar!

Peanut Butter Cheesecake Shakeology Ice Cream

Ingredients:

  • 2 Scoops vanilla Shakeology (or chocolate)
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 12 ounces of unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 TBS PB2 (optional)
  • 2 TBS fat free sugar free cheesecake pudding mix (optional, or any flavor you like)
  • 8 oz ice

Directions:

1) Mix all ingredients in a blender

I like to hit the “crush ice” button for about 30 seconds followed by the “blend” until a smooth consistency.

2) Pour ice cream into a freezer safe bowl, I used a glass pyrex bowl with a lid

3) Freeze for approximately 2-3 hours before serving, stirring every hour

4) Pull out of freezer about 10 minutes before you’re ready to eat and ENJOY!

This was the perfect addition to my 3 year old’s birthday cookie cake! She actually ate more of the ice cream than she did of the actual cookie cake! I’m going to chalk that one up as a win!!!

Vanilla Almond Fudge

Vanilla Almond Fudge Shakeology

1 Scoop Chocolate Shakeology

1 TBS Almond Butter

1 tsp vanilla

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of your preference)

Lots of ice!!

Blend and enjoy! Just beware – it tastes like ice cream and may be consumed in its entirety by your children 🙂

Nutty Butter and Maple Pecan shakeo

Ok, so I don’t switch up my shakes very often – I absolutely love my Chocolate shakeo with 1/2 cup of unsweetened almond milk, 1/4 of a FROZEN banana and a TBS of PB2 however…every now and then I like to switch things up and so does my hubby!

Here are two fun ones we both enjoy!

Nutty Butter

1 cup of milk (almond, soy, etc…)

1/2 cup of water

1 scoop vanilla shakeology

1/4 cup of walnuts

1 TBS natural peanut butter or PB2

1 frozen banana

Ice to taste

 

Maple Pecan

1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk

1/2 cup water

1 scoop vanilla shakeo

1 TBS pecans

1 TBS cashews

1 tsp pure maple syrup

Ice to taste

 I had no idea how amazing a little sugar free/fat free pudding mix could be, but holy cow! Talk about a guilt free treat!!! 

Butterfinger shakeology totally hits that junk food craving button and kicks any chance of caving for a candy bar to the curb!!!

1 Scoop Chocolate Shakeo

8oz almond milk (Or half water/half milk)

2 TBS PB2

2 TBS Fat free/sugar free butterscotch pudding mix
