As we launch into this final week of our 6 week test group journey a few thoughts come to mind:
I have realized I am stronger than I thought.
Accountability is one of the most underused POWERFUL tools in one’s fitness journey and when you LEAN in on it – it WORKS!
Working out beyond 30 minutes is FUN and the results are worth the extra effort
When you take a step back to MENTALLY get focused you can bust through any barriers you previously thought existed
This program is comprised of alternating HIIT/Cardio workouts and Strength training workouts.
Week 1 begins at 25 minutes
Week 2 is 35 minutes
Week 3 is 45 minutes
When you begin ROUND 2 you go back to week 2
Followed by week 3
And week 4 – which tops them all with 50 minute workouts.
In the beginning I thought a big old HECK – TO – THE – NO!
But you know what?! I’ve realized that when you are really in the zone 50 minutes doesn’t seem so challenging any more!

The boots are packed away, winter coats stuffed to the back of the closets and the shorts, tanks, and rompers are making their debut!

I personally will be kickstarting my fitness with a 3-day refresh immediately following Eater as we launch our group! The 3-day refresh is a great option for you whether you’re just getting started, trying to bust through a plateau or simply need a good challenge and change up.
Its plant based and allows you (me!) to kick the bloat from things that commonly bother me like the sugar and gluten that finds its way into all the Easter treats!
From there we will roll into a 90 day commitment.
Can you get results sooner? ABSOLUTELY! But I have lived and learned and I know it takes 21ish days to set the habits into place but more like 90 days to truly walk through the trenches of life and be able to come out on the other end ROCKING those goals and proud of the changes you’ve made!

It was 3 years ago today that I ***GULP*** made it public and launched my “coaching business” to the world 🌎

Ok, let’s be real for a minute.
When people ask me what I do or what fills up that little Shaker cup or my coffee mug they are USUALLY interested in giving it a try.
But…
Then they hear the cost and they say – “I can’t afford that, I….” and before you know it they are already convinced there is no way it can work!
Trust me – I GET IT!!!! I’ve been there…and I used to think it was crazy expensive too…until I realized what all you’re getting and then it all made sense!!! You get what you pay for!!!

Let’s rewind…
I joined my first challenge group a year into my Stay at Home Mom (SAHM) life. It was February and I had left my career in public accounting the April prior. It was hard enough for me to “splurge” on the challenge pack but I really wanted a change so I went with it. I ordered and immediately cancelled the auto shipments. Again, there was NO WAY I could afford this monthly. But I also committed to myself. I had made the investment in the challenge pack and I was investing in ME. I purchased the 21-day fix and told myself I would drink these little shakes for 21 days, I would follow the plan and I would workout.
My 21-day fix results – Round 1 – never missed a shakeo!!
Guess what???? I GOT RESULTS – In just 3 short weeks….It actually worked!
Now the hard part came…I wanted another bag of the Shakeology but how????
Here’s what I did:
1) First, I signed up as a coach. Well – a discount coach – but it was the same process – I mean – who doesn’t want to save $$$. This had a big appeal and since I had already purchased a challenge pack there was no sign up fee and if I did nothing else, I would at least be saving $15/month. SWEET!
2) I stopped my prescription prenatal vitamin that was costing me $30/month.
I was nursing my 9 month old at the time and after talking to my doctor the vitamins and minerals found in my prenatal were also in Shakeology! The only thing I had to add was a separate DHA supplement!!! WINNING!!!! As always – if you’re pregnant or nursing you should talk to your doctor first. But then again you should actually consider EVERYTHING you put into your body – Shakeology included – but also that cookie, the pizza, the coffee mocha frap, the fast food – etc.. You should think about EVERYTHING you’re eating. I know when I did I quickly realized you can’t get the all natural, non-GMO nutrition found in Shakeology in other foods and personally I couldn’t think of a better food to fuel my body with and my family!!!
I was actually giving my little one MORE nutrition that before! I wonder if I could quantify the amount of money saved from not having to go to the doctor – from establishing healthy nutrition habits in my young one?!?! Ok – tangent over – back to it…
3) I was able to completely STOP by Chron’s Disease medicine – savings – $60/month. After taking medicine for nearly 7 years I started noticing very positive changes to my digestive system. I reduced my dosage on my own and after 4 months of my daily dense superfood Shakeology, regular exercise, and making that transition to clean eating…I was confident I didn’t need it anymore! I made an appointment with my GI specialist and in August got the official words to stop all medication! If nothing else – that aspect alone is enough for me to ensure this lifestyle is simply that MY LIFE!
4) We stopped eating out!!!
For almost the first 6 months – we truly just didn’t eat out! Once we made the investment in the Shakeology and investment in our own health we realized we could cook the foods we liked in the portions our bodies needed for a fraction of the cost. We ditched the pizza and wings Friday night ritual and the 1x/week dinner out. I’ll estimate that by cooking dinner in vs. ordering out 1x a week and eating dinner out 1x a week our family of four saved at least $40/week, of that my portion was at least $15…and I actually think this is a super low ball park number!!! We never messed around when we would go out – there was always an app and always a dessert so this became a huge saver for us! We also found that shakeology shaken up on the road makes for the healthiest and most convenient fast food EVER!!!
Rough guess – $60/month for myself – $120/month for my family
So as you can see – from the compound effect of the changes we made – while we were spending an additional $115 on one bag of Shakeology – I was saving $165!!! And we didn’t even address that this replaced my prior unhealthy not all natural oatmeal packet breakfast I used to eat or the ice cream we would frequently grab from Dairy Queen 🙂
And all the while this is saving me money, helping me feel better and allowing me to be the BEST mom/wife possible…I started to inspire others along the way. Those closest to me – aka – my ENTIRE FAMILY!

A portion of those who attended Pittsburgh’s Super Saturday
For the 500+ of you who were able to make it down to Heinz Field in Pittsburgh on Saturday April 25th you know what an AMAZING day we had!
Time with my team, time with my friends, tears of joy, loads of celebration, updates on the newest program (CIZE!!!!) and supplement line to hit the market, a 50/50 drawing, raffle baskets, a kick-booty LIVE MASH UP with Kam, oh, and we raised OOODLES of money for LLS and to support Katy Ursta in her Pittsburgh Woman of the Year Campaign. It was truly an EPIC day!
But…for the millions of you who missed it – or – couldn’t make it to the burgh, let me share some details:
So you may be thinking…what is this whole SUPER SATURDAY business???
Super Saturday is a quarterly event for Beachbody Coaches to get together, help motivate one another, share some great tips and best practices and gear up for what’s to come!!! It really builds on the motivation from the last event (aka-CANCUN SUCCESS CLUB trip) and serves as a chance to get together in person and catch the latest and greatest announcements and new releases from Corporate!!!
There is a Market Council in Pittsburgh (which I am super blessed to be a part of) that meets during the quarter to plan it all out. The easy part is the highlight video from Corporate…but the rest of the day is up to US! And we took things on a different route this time around!!!
Locally we have all been sweating for something bigger!!! A fellow coach on our team won an incredible battle with Stage 4 Lymphoma last year and through her struggles, remained positive, full of hope and truly inspired ALL those around her. She has been nominated for the Pittsburgh Woman of the Year and in support of her campaign, we centered our focus around raising funds for the LLS. And boy did we ever meet that goal!
We did a few of the “typical” Super Saturday things. We welcomed everyone, we shared a bit about what the proceeds were going to be used for, we recognized the audience and where they are in their business (led by yours truly on the big stage – Eeek!) we got to hear from 2 amazing people with their stories and transformations with Beachbody, we watched the Corporate video…then we got down to some business!!!
We wanted people to gain VALUE from this day and since we are fortunate to have several Elite Coaches on the Market Council and in the Pittsburgh area, not to mention 2 of the top 10 coaches from 2014, including the #1 Coach, Melanie Mitro, we held a brief training session followed by a Q&A…where people could submit questions prior to the event and hear from some of the best of the best. I mean seriously – it doesn’t get much better than that!!! We jam packed those 3 hours but I can honestly tell you I left that room – ready to DO MORE!!! Just do it 🙂
We wrapped up the event with a little LIVE Mash up led by Kam which included P90X Live, Insanity LIVE, PiYO LIVE, and a taste of the new CIZE…um, I’ll be needed some coordination tips by the time this is released in July!!!
Words cannot explain how amazing it was to be at this event and reflect on what has changed in my life as a result of joining Beachbody just one year ago!!! Never would I have thought I’d be up on stage, never would I have thought I would have MY OWN team members travel to make the trip or just be a part of something so big and so powerful…but I AM, and I am forever grateful! I cannot stress it enough – if at all possible – get to these live events!!! Endless motivation & inspiration!!!
One decision I made when I left the event was to SHARE this opportunity with as many people as possible! I truly believe anyone can ROCK this business if they have the desire to try and willingness to learn!
