Not only because he ROCKED it but because he is my HUBBY and we did this TOGETHER!
3 weeks ago this stud and I committed to a 21-day journey together
We pressed play each morning in our basement…
We ate normal foods you would buy at the grocery store…
We gave our body a daily dose of dense superfoods nutrition every.single.day…
We enjoyed an off meal each week…
We helped each other get up and workout on the days we didn’t want to…
& we talked each other out of diving headfirst in to the Dairy Queen drive through (more than once)…
We were not perfect but we stayed COMMITTED and each time we got a little off track we got right back on…we leaned in to each other and our fellow challengers.
I think it’s safe to say the whole “rapid results program” lived up to its name 💃💃💃
The results are IN: 10 flipping pounds GONE…his clothes are fitting WAYYYYY better!!!

Today our RAMP UP fitness program is taking us to 35 minute workouts with alternating HIIT and strength training days with a rest/active rest day on Sunday. Let me just be honest. I am RESTING on Sunday!
We were faced with our first “big” temptation of the program last weekend as we traveled to my home town for a family reunion. Our plan of attack: BE PREPARED.
We sliced apples & red peppers, took plenty of water and Shakeology packets for a quick meal on the go! And for those temptations that would later come – a batch of Cookie Dough Energy balls to the rescue.
We enjoyed ourselves – stayed in control and allowed ourselves a small indulgence.
Then we came back and BOUNCED right back on track!
Too often people allow their travels and slip ups to totally derail them but you only FAIL if you STOP trying.
Today the 5am alarm went off and we were up and at it!!!
The SHIFT has us changing up our meal plan this week reducing our starchy carbs and increasing our greens and proteins along with the 10 minute increase in the workout length!
Here’s what our week looks like:
The ENERGIZE is something I drink DAILY before my workouts and the Recover/Shakeology is a post workout replenish! I prefer the Performance recover but too much dairy causes me belly and skin issues!
I’ve tried to do a few days of an extra Shakeology shaken with water and a few days of Recover but this week I am going to try a half and half combo! It makes such a difference in the way I feel and my sore muscles are telling me to try something new!
I am excited to kick off another round of the SHIFT SHOP!
In just two weeks one of my launch party guests is down 8 pounds and another is down 4!
Another challenger is down 5 in just WEEK 1
Another pulled out a pair of shorts that were “embarrassingly uncomfortable” less than a week ago
New programs are ALWAYS exciting – and bring new light into my home fitness world and what I can do for others but after participating in the OFFICIAL COACH TEST GROUP this spring and seeing first hand the POSSIBILITIES of this program I have learned we all have so much MORE potential that lies deep within us and when you MAKE THE SHIFT incredible things can happen.
And now – I get to instill that potential and BELIEF into others!
The workouts are amazing and the motivation provided by Chris Downing, the trainer paving the way is unparalleled but honestly – the FUEL we put into our bodies is what DRIVES the results you can see!

How does it work???
HERE’S THE BREAKDOWN:
WEEK 1 Get rid of the foods that are holding you back and start with a better balance of carbohydrates, protein, and healthy fats with carbs being at the forefront, mostly from fruits and veggies with a few starches (yams and potatoes) and legumes (beans and peas) thrown in.
WEEK 2 As your body adapts and the workouts increase in length, it’s time to accelerate your results and cut back on the starchy carbs while increasing proteins, veggies, and healthy fats.
WEEK 3 Here is where everything comes together. You are working out at your peak while eating your cleanest. Starchy carbs are eliminated to make way for your best results—and although it’s a challenging week—you can help ward off your cravings with Shakeology, the superfood supplement shake designed to support your nutrition goals without sacrificing results.
I am starting fresh with my challengers along with my husband and here is our game plan for week 1:

As we launch into this final week of our 6 week test group journey a few thoughts come to mind:
I have realized I am stronger than I thought.
Accountability is one of the most underused POWERFUL tools in one’s fitness journey and when you LEAN in on it – it WORKS!
Working out beyond 30 minutes is FUN and the results are worth the extra effort
When you take a step back to MENTALLY get focused you can bust through any barriers you previously thought existed
This program is comprised of alternating HIIT/Cardio workouts and Strength training workouts.
Week 1 begins at 25 minutes
Week 2 is 35 minutes
Week 3 is 45 minutes
When you begin ROUND 2 you go back to week 2
Followed by week 3
And week 4 – which tops them all with 50 minute workouts.
In the beginning I thought a big old HECK – TO – THE – NO!
But you know what?! I’ve realized that when you are really in the zone 50 minutes doesn’t seem so challenging any more!
I have been able to adapt to being on the road, traveling, vacations, baseball games, parties and more but its not because I am committed to a DIET – its because I committed to making this a LIFESTYLE change and its paying off 10-FOLD!
I have LOVED this fitness journey but I am more excited to be able to BRING YOU along WITH ME! And the date is fast approaching!

Hearing the amazing news that I was SELECTED as one of the participants in the SHIFT SHOP TESTGROUP was like a dream come true.
Then I looked at the calendar – Round 1 started with the week of my son’s birthday & Round 2 started with a week long vacation with our friends and family.
I immediately thought of the hurdles but quickly turned it around and imagined:
How good would it feel to not only get AMAZING results leading up to our beach vacation but to actually come home from that trip with those SAME RESULTS!?!?
I don’t know about you but even with a very healthy balanced lifestyle, I will admittedly work *extra* hard leading up to an event and let the food and emotions run wild once the big day/trip comes.
It seems silly – I mean why work so hard to undo it?
How great would it be if you didn’t come home from vacation with guilt and another long(er) road ahead of you?!?!?!
And so…that’s just what I did!
I wrapped up Round 1 of the Shift Shop testgroup nearly 5 pounds lighter and with increased confidence which propelled me into a 2 day travel trip and week long trip at the beach with habits in tact and goals that couldn’t be squashed!
Was I perfect?
Nope! Not at all.
But I stuck to my guns and never felt like I was missing out or “couldn’t” eat what everyone else was eating. I simply ate what my body craved and if I wanted to taste a bite of ice cream or sample the mac and cheese I did – but you know what…I never felt the need for more than a taste!
So how can YOU go on your next vacation or weekend getaway without reversing the work you put in beforehand:
PACK SNACKS for the car. And no I’m not meaning bars and pretzels! My road trip snacks included:
Cut up apple for easy drive/snacking
Over hard eggs
Shakeology and coconut water filled shaker cup
Allow your friends to know you’re working on becoming a healthier version of YOUand if they’re truly your friends they will support YOU
2 words: SPARKLING WATER
There were adult beverages going down but you know what – I never had ONE! And I didn’t feel I had to! I sipped a sparkling water of choice and still had a blast at game night, watched the PENS playoff hockey game and lounged by the pool without feeling like I was missing out on the fun! Because I didn’t want it. I didn’t want the extra calories and when you don’t WANT it you don’t feel like you’re MISSING a thing!
Plan to workout daily
PICK A TIME: While I was initially thinking I would get up at 6 and work it – I didn’t! I talked to my hubs who was cool with us enjoying the morning for as long as it would last until the littles woke up – so we did!!! Some mornings I got them breakfast before I pressed play some mornings he took the reigns. They were up by 7 each day – but I enjoyed the no alarm. But each morning I had some company with me and you know what – I LOVED it!!!
THE POINT: Just make sure you DO IT. Pack weights or a resistance band if you need it or go with a no equipment workout like CORE DE FORCE or PIYO and keep moving!
Obviously your storage situations will vary but with our beach trip we were in a house! The kiddos and I stopped at the farmers market on the way down and then hit up the grocery store once we got there. On pizza night I ordered a salad. On Taco Tuesday I whipped up a Taco Salad and splurged on a few chips – key word: FEW. When we did the steamer buckets I fried some eggs and enjoyed leftover veggies!!!
Drink your Shakeology daily
Not only does it help with cravings but its an easy meal to pack and make and can be enjoyed any time of the day! It was breakfast a few times, lunch a few times and even a late night snack one night! This is one meal/snack that feels like a splurge BUT ISN’T so enjoy it when you can!

I mean…who doesn’t want chocolate covered strawberries for breakfast?!?!
The one thing I’m missing/was missing from, what had become, my daily breakfast a few months ago was my LOVE CRUCH Peanut Butter & Chocolate granola on top of my shakeo bowl each morning!! It gave the perfect little crunch and truly felt like such an indulgence!!
However it doesn’t EXACTLY fit into my Shift Shop test group meal plan so I decided to improvise and this chopped topping was just what I needed!
WHAT YOU NEED:
1/2 cup coconut water
1 scoop vegan chocolate shakeo
1 cup spinach
1 cup chopped berries, divided (1/2 blended and 1/2 on top)
1/2 tsp cinnamon
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO: Blend, top with remaining strawberries & ENJOY!
